Live Drummer Privacy Policy

Live Drummer is an Android tempo meter provided by M. Southerland. This policy explains how the app handles microphone audio, set lists and settings.
Microphone audio
Live Drummer asks for microphone permission to measure tempo and display beat feedback. It uses the microphone selected by Android, including a compatible external microphone.
Audio is analyzed in temporary memory on your device. The app does not save audio recordings or upload audio to the developer or another service. Listening stops when you pause the meter or the app moves to the background. You can revoke microphone permission in Android settings at any time; tempo detection then becomes unavailable.
Set lists, notes and settings
Song names, target tempos, notes, set order, Practice target and your detection preferences are stored in the app's private storage on your device so they remain available between sessions. They are not sent to the developer.
When you import a file, you choose it through Android's document picker. The app reads the selected file to create an import preview and saves the songs you confirm. It does not request general access to your storage or change the original file. If you select a file through a cloud storage provider, that provider handles access under its own privacy policy.
The app also reads microphone routing information locally to identify the current input in Settings. It does not send that information to the developer.
Sharing, advertising and analytics
Live Drummer has no user accounts, advertising, tracking or analytics services. The current app does not transmit microphone audio, set lists, notes or settings over the internet. We do not sell this information.
Google Play handles app distribution and any download purchase. Google may process account, purchase and platform diagnostic information under its own Privacy Policy. Live Drummer does not receive your payment card details.
Retention and deletion
Audio samples are used temporarily for live analysis and are not retained as recordings. Saved sets and preferences remain on your device until you remove them. You can delete songs and sets in the app. To remove all app data, clear Live Drummer's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. Resetting detection settings inside the app preserves your sets and Practice target.
The app disables Android backup and device-transfer backup for its private data. Deleting app data does not delete source spreadsheets or documents kept outside the app.

If you email us, we use the address and information you provide to respond and resolve the request, and retain that correspondence only as needed for support and applicable obligations. Email is handled by our email provider; it does not give us access to the audio or sets stored inside your app.
Changes
We will update this policy when the app's data practices change and identify the effective date on the published page.
